Beach Family Portraits | Palos Verdes Family Photographer
The Vigil Family found me through a model call I made on Facebook and had only recently moved the South Bay. As a family with two little ones, they knew how quickly they grow and change and wanted to celebrate this chapter in their life with a family portrait session at the beach.
First, I met Julie and Greg to discuss their portrait goals and let them know that I offer both the photography service as well as a complimentary consultation after their session to review their images and choose ones to use for wall portraits in their home.
Then, at the session we spent our time playing and laughing. I made the girls pose for me and be silly to help them relax. It's most important when working with kids during the family photo sesssions, and especially since I am usually meeting them for the first time at the session to develop a repore with them and help them trust me.
Halfway through the session we walked to the water and the girls got a bit wet. I remember their littlest one was not happy and it took some time for her to recover and snuggle with Mommy, but I just roll with the flow. Unexpected things will happen when you are working with children during family photoshoots, and it's all part of what I do as a professional photographer to be relaxed and flexible.
Towards the end of the session, dad was the best at making the girls giggle and in some cases completely crack up! I love it when dad really gets into having fun himself at the photo sessions and Greg really did it this time!
And I don't want to forget to mention that a couple weeks after our session, we met at their home to view their images and they ordered a beautiful canvas of their littlest at the shore!
I hope you enjoy the delightful photos from this beach session near Palos Verdes Estates and will contact me below if you are gearing up for your next family portrait session and ready for a free consult!
