Nominations are OPEN!
Know a Beautiful Child?
Self Image Photography has been chosen as one of 50 national photographers to use photography as a means of giving back to our local community. As part of Beauty Revived, a photography movement, Self Image Photography is asking for nominations for beautiful children in the South Bay Area, including the Beach Cities, El Segundo, Torrance, and Palos Verdes to be featured in a national magazine and on the Beauty Revived blog.
The beauty of these children will not be measured by their looks. No, these children will be chosen because of their real beauty, their courage and their countenance. The child chosen through our nomination process will be gifted a free photo session with (photographer) and a feature in the Real Beautiful Children’s issue of Beauty Revived magazine.
What is Beauty Revived?
Beauty Revived is a movement that celebrates women and children with real beauty. Photographers donate sessions to these women and children and their stories are featured in their magazine and website: www.beautyrevived.com.
Hundreds of photographers applied to be a part of the Beauty Revived 50 Beautiful Children’s campaign and Rivkah Leah Gelb of Self Image Photography was chosen to find a deserving child to photograph.
Self Image Photography will be accepting nominations from May 31 to June 10 and will then choose one to donate a photography session to (include any other items they will receive like hair and makeup, add in vendors). The child chosen will be an example of real beauty and will have shown their beauty by their service, grace in defeat, and kindness when tried.
More about Beauty Revived
Beauty Revived was started in 2014 as a way for photographers to use their lens for good and shine light on the real beauty that was happening in our communities. In the last year and a half, more than 500 women, girls and children have been featured on their website and magazine.
“As a high school senior photographer, I started Beauty Revived because I saw the power that a photographer has in shaping perception and altering dialogue on beauty,” Michelle Gifford, Beauty Revived founder, said.
“The photographers who participate in our campaigns not only have great technical and artistic talent but also have big hearts and a desire to be more than just a picture taker. They want to be a photographer who changes the world with their work,” Gifford said.
